Thrive with Autism was created by Wayne Maloney to change the way autism is perceived and lived with by the families that have a child with the diagnosis. Wayne Maloney is a child/family advocate, a licenced special education teacher, and a family support expert specializing in helping children and families affected by autism.
With over ten years experience of working with children and families with autism, and as a graduate of Sierra Nevada College and the University Nevada, Reno specializing in Early Childhood Special Education and Autism, he most recently was a Special Education Teacher in a fully inclusive classroom in one of the nation's largest school districts.
In addition to being a prominent Special Education Teacher specializing in working with students, and their families, with autism, Wayne has presented at international conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of autism and school/family communication.
Wayne is an interactive, solution-focused family support specialist. His approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address challenges facing families with autism. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual child and family to help them build on their strengths to attain their potential and the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
